This Privacy Policy explains what information PlotSur ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep it simple because your privacy matters to us.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details: your name, phone number, email, role, and (optionally) NIN or BVN.
  • Land case data: land details, coordinates, ownership history, and documents you upload (C of O, survey plans, deeds, receipts, photos).
  • Usage data: basic information about how you use the platform, such as pages visited and actions taken, used for security and to improve the service.
  • Payment data: when you pay, our payment partners (Paystack, Flutterwave) process your card or transfer details. We do not store your full card number.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and land case files.
  • To verify documents, generate QR land identities, and process payments.
  • To connect you with lawyers, surveyors, and agents you choose to engage.
  • To send you important updates (verification results, receipts, support replies).
  • To keep the platform secure and prevent fraud.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

3. Who can see your data

Your case files and documents are private to you by default. Information becomes visible to others only when you choose to share it — for example, activating a public QR profile, hiring a professional, or inviting someone to a mediation room. Sensitive identifiers like NIN are masked (only the last few digits are ever shown).

4. How we protect your data

  • Documents are stored in a private, encrypted vault.
  • Each upload gets a tamper-detection fingerprint (SHA-256).
  • Access to your case files is controlled and logged.
  • We use trusted infrastructure providers with strong security practices.

5. Third-party services

We rely on service providers to run PlotSur, including hosting and database (Supabase), payments (Paystack, Flutterwave), and email delivery (Resend). These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

6. Your choices

You can view and update your profile at any time. You may request that we delete your account and personal data by contacting us — note that we may keep limited records where the law requires.

7. Children

PlotSur is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy occasionally. We will post the latest version here with a new date.
