Welcome to PlotSur. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules for using our website and services at plotsur.com. By creating an account or using PlotSur, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What PlotSur does

PlotSur helps you create land case files, store and verify land documents, generate QR land identities, hire lawyers and surveyors, and resolve disputes through online mediation. PlotSur is a technology platform. We are not a law firm, government agency, or land registry, and we do not confer legal title to any land.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use PlotSur.

3. Acceptable use

When using PlotSur, you agree that you will not:

Upload documents you do not own or have no right to share.
Submit false, forged, or misleading documents or information.
Use the platform to defraud, harass, threaten, or harm others.
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' data.
Break any Nigerian law or the law of your country of residence.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Verification & content — important disclaimer

A "Verified" result on PlotSur is not a legal guarantee. Document verification, ID verification, and QR land identities reflect our reviewers' best professional assessment of the information provided at the time of review. They do not confer legal title, do not replace an official search at the relevant Land Registry, Surveyor-General's office, or Corporate Affairs Commission, and must not be treated as conclusive proof of ownership or authenticity.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the documents and information you submit. Before buying, selling, leasing, or paying money for any land, you must conduct your own independent due diligence and consult a qualified legal practitioner. PlotSur accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on a verification result, badge, or QR profile.

5. Payments

Some features are paid (for example document verification, QR activation, agent badges, subscriptions, and professional hires). Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Paystack or Flutterwave). For professional hires, PlotSur charges a platform commission, which is included in the price shown. Paid features are generally non-refundable once the service has been delivered, except where required by law.

6. Lawyers, surveyors & agents

Professionals and agents on PlotSur are independent third parties, not our employees. We provide a marketplace to connect you, but we are not responsible for the advice, work, or conduct of any professional or agent. Any engagement is between you and them.

7. Disputes & mediation

The mediation room is a tool to help parties communicate and resolve disagreements. Any outcome reached is between the parties involved. PlotSur does not make binding legal rulings.

8. Limitation of liability

PlotSur is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from land transactions, third-party conduct, verification outcomes, or service interruptions. You use the platform at your own discretion.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know. Continuing to use PlotSur after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
